Whimsical text and sparrows!
I just finished up a design proposal for the ladies over at Mac & Murphy. The design is for Katherine & Christopher who loved the look and feel of Pretty Pen Jen’s calligraphy. We do to, but didn’t have it in the budget for this piece. Instead we created their design using one of our favorite fonts – yes, this is a font! To add a splash of color and personality to the design, we’re pulling in the large patterned envelope liner with two sweetheart sparrows. Christopher studies birds so it adds a punch of personality as well!

Feature on Style Me Pretty – Destination
I posted Laurel & Daniel’s design mockups a while back. Their Cinco de Mayo inspired wedding invitations, featured a custom designed Papel de Picado. Laurel & Daniel’s Southern Cinco de Mayo soiree in Charleston which was just featured on Style Me Pretty’s Destination blog. The wedding was planned to perfection by the very talented Cindy Zingerella of Engaging Events here in Charleston.
Sean & Elizabeth on Style Me Pretty
Congratulations to Sean & Elizabeth, whose wedding was just featured on Style Me Pretty! Elizabeth found Sixpence through our fabulous retailer in downtown Charleston, Mac & Murphy. Elizabeth wanted a classic invitation suite in all matte gold. We printed on heavy weight 220 stock in our larger “Windsor” card size. We lined the inner envelopes in a soft pale blush pink. They were beautiful and timeless to match their classic and elegant wedding which took place at a private residence in Charleston, SC. Hop on over here to see the whole post!
A Vintage Vineyard Affair
I think a vineyard wedding is just about as gorgeous as you can get (says the southern gal who only gets to lay eyes on vast rolling expanses of vineyards once in a blue moon!) I was over the moon, then, to work with bride, Dennielle, on her vintage vineyard themed wedding suite. We created a custom monogram with the small grape cluster etching which we pulled throughout the design. The whole suite was bound with a grosgrain pinstriped navy ribbon which was used throughout the decor as well. Have a peak!

Programs on my mind
I guess you can tell May is around the corner! I’ve been designing programs for days! This Spring we’ve added quite a few to our growing collection! Check them out below:

Kentuck Knob Wedding
We were so excited when bride, Meagan, found us to help her create a custom invitation suite for her fall wedding at Kentuck Knob. I inherited my father’s slight obsession with architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Kentuck Knob is a jewel of his from 1953 and is located in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Meagan is planning an elegant Vintage Chic wedding with a tented reception resplendent with milk glass vases and soft florals. We wanted her invitation suite to have a traditional and clean look with a touch of Southern Elegance and Vintage charm. I love the outcome!
As always, email me for a closer look!

Land & Sea Wedding Invitation
Cory from the ever so elegant, Loluma Events, came to me to help create the custom stationery for bride and groom, Stephanie and Ryan, who are planning a Summer wedding on Kiawah Island. Stephanie has been coming to the Lowcountry Island for years and while she loves the beach, the Lowcountry land, with it’s Live Oak trees draped with Spanish Moss, held just a special place in her heart, so we set to work creating a custom graphic that equally evokes the Land and Sea features of the Lowcountry that she loves so much.

Here’s a closer look at the custom monogram graphic which incorporates the Live Oak tree and Scallop shell:
